Mehak and Muneem will help you connect to and enhance your inner poet and storyteller, guiding you to find the words and your own unique ways to present and perform them.

In this workshop, she will help you find your own style by analyzing the poetics of Hip Hop, surveying various writing styles and methods employed by rap artists within the canon. Based on lyrical writing alone, we will ask ourselves: "What makes a dope emcee?" Participants will be encouraged to write lyrics based on a close reading of lyrical and literary technique.
